Classroom Educator

Fast Wolf Educational Consulting Services LLC is looking for a dedicated individual to work with Native American juveniles that are incarcerated in the Standing Rock Youth Services Center in Fort Yates, ND. We are a private contractor partnering with the Bureau of Indian Affair/Office of Justice Services (BIA/OJS) to provide education services to Native American juveniles that are incarcerated.

This individual needs to be flexible and be able to adapt to teaching a variety of age groups, content areas, and grade levels. This individual will collaborate with the incarcerated juveniles’ home schools to gather school work and assist in maintaining and/or retrieving academic credit. This individual will work closely with the assigned detention center personnel on a daily basis. This individual will complete assessments, weekly reports, gather data, and provide training to the JDC’ staff on a variety of educational topics.

Preferred qualifications for this position are;

· state teaching license

· experience working with Native American juveniles

· experience working in juvenile detention center environment

· experience with Differentiated Instruction and ESL

· computer literate
