Essential Functions
Instructional Design & Delivery:
Guides student learning by delivering high-quality instruction aligned to classroom missions and learning goals, and uses assessment data to adjust teaching and support the academic growth of all students, including those with IEPs or 504 plans. Utilizes evidence-based practices and instructional resources to maximize student learning in alignment with state and district standards.
Collaboration & Relationship Building:
Partners with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators to foster positive relationships, demonstrate leadership, and promote a culture of high expectations.
Student Learning & Assessment:
Guides student learning by aligning instruction with classroom goals and learning objectives, implementing recognition strategies, and using assessment data to evaluate performance and continuously improve instruction.
Classroom Management & Environment:
Maintains classroom structure, routines, and behavioral expectations to foster a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment, and models professional and ethical behavior in accordance with district and state standards.
Communication:
Maintains timely, professional, and transparent communication with students, parents, guardians, colleagues, and administrators. Provides updates on student progress, instructional programs, and classroom activities to foster strong partnerships and community engagement.
Professional Responsibilities & Development:
Maintains accurate documentation and data to support student progress and compliance and engages in meetings and professional development to enhance knowledge and refine instructional practices.
Attendance & Reliability:
Demonstrates consistent and reliable attendance and punctuality in alignment with district expectations, recognizing the importance of being present for students. Maintains instructional continuity and strong relationships by ensuring students experience consistency, support, and stability in their learning environment.

The usual and customary methods of performing the position functions require the following physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, reaching, driving, standing and walking.
