Cleaner/Janitor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform industrial cleaning tasks in various settings including commercial and residential properties.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Carry out custodial duties such as dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and emptying trash bins.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
• Provide porter services by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, or custodial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is desirable.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.28 - $19.00 per hour
