Cleaning and Maintenance Worker

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, window washing, and trash removal across all facility areas
• Conduct general repairs such as fixing fixtures, replacing light bulbs, and addressing minor plumbing or electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
• Utilize schematics and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance
• Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to maintain or repair electrical systems and machinery
• Assist with residential painting projects and touch-ups to maintain the aesthetic quality of the facility
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in facilities maintenance and troubleshooting complex systems
• Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals
• Experience with welding, electrical work, and residential painting is highly desirable
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing or building automation systems
• Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork
• Proven leadership or supervising experience in maintenance or manufacturing environments
• Customer service orientation with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
