Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor Reports To: Operations Manager / Area Manager

Job Purpose:

The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily cleaning operations to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety at client sites. The role involves supervising cleaning staff, scheduling shifts, conducting inspections, providing training, and ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor the work of cleaning staff to ensure assigned areas are properly cleaned.
  • Assign duties and prepare daily/weekly schedules for cleaners.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure the availability of cleaning materials, tools, and equipment; report shortages or damages.
  • Train and guide new cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment use.
  • Handle staff attendance, timekeeping, and performance monitoring.
  • Respond promptly to client requests, complaints, and feedback, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Enforce adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Coordinate with management for staff deployment, leave requests, and replacement staff when needed.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on cleaning operations and staff performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in housekeeping or facilities management is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment.
  • Good leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and discipline staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergencies when required.

Working Conditions:

  • Site-based (offices, malls, residential buildings, hospitals, or industrial facilities).
  • May require physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting cleaning materials.
