Position/Title

Clinical Application Specialist


Purpose of Function

Provide expert clinical support, training, and education on medical devices to healthcare professionals and end-users. This function ensures the safe, effective, and optimal use of products in clinical settings by bridging the gap between product functionality and real-world application. It plays a critical role in enhancing user confidence, driving product adoption, supporting sales with clinical insights, and gathering feedback to inform product development and improvement.


Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Deliver on-site product training to healthcare professionals and end-users within the assigned region (Central, Eastern, and Southern), by preparing a training schedule for all customers who have purchased medical devices after installation.
  • Support product demonstrations, evaluations, and clinical trials in hospitals or clinical environments
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales clinical support in collaboration with the sales team
  • Act as the clinical expert during tender presentations, customer meetings, and technical discussions
  • Ensure proper product usage and adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards
  • Collect and document user feedback to support continuous product improvement and innovation
  • Develop and maintain clinical training materials, manuals, and user guides
  • Stay updated with clinical trends, guidelines, and evidence-based practices relevant to the product portfolio
  • Assist in complaint handling and root cause analysis from a clinical usage perspective
  • Support regulatory and quality teams by providing clinical input on risk assessments and product performance.
  • Communicate new developments internally (Product and Market)
  • Support the Demo activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation and organized records for all customer application trainings to support final acceptance processes. This includes maintaining details such as participant names, order numbers, PO numbers, training topics, checklists, and other relevant information.
  • Support in collecting final acceptance documents from customers to ensure timely project closure and compliance with internal processes

Education

Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or respiratory therapy (RT)


Related Experience

Minimum 2+ years of experience in the field of Clinical Application Specialist or a similar clinical support role
