Job Title: Clinical Dietitian

Location: Hithalaya Restorative & Transition Care, Gottigere, Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Education: Master'sdegree in dietetics, Food & Nutrition

Experience: 2 to 3 years

Shifts: General shift

Job Summary:

• Attend daily medical rounds and conduct thorough nutritional assessments of patients based on medical history, physical exams, and lab results.
• Maintain all patient records, nutritional assessments, and daily progress notes
• Design and implement specialized dietary plans for various conditions.
• Consult with doctors and nursing staff to integrate nutritional therapy into overall patient treatment plans.
• Counsel patients and their families on healthy eating habits, food-drug interactions, and long-term lifestyle changes.
• Monitor the hospital kitchen to ensure food preparation meets safety & hygiene standards and follows the prescribed dietary guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and nutritional interventions.
• Strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and enteral/parenteral nutrition.

Experience and Skills:

- 2 to 3 years of experience

- Strong clinical assessment abilities, such as interpreting lab values, calculating nutrient needs, and understanding drug-nutrient interactions. Communication skills for patient counseling, critical thinking for personalized care plans, and knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for conditions like diabetes or renal disease are vital.
