  • Nutritional Assessment: Evaluate health, diet history, goals, and medical conditions to identify needs.
  • Meal Plan Development: Design tailored nutrition plans considering preferences, budgets, and health needs (e.g., allergies, diabetes, post-surgery).
  • Patient Counseling: Provide one-on-one or group education on healthy eating, food choices, and managing conditions.
  • Collaboration: Work with doctors, nurses, and therapists to integrate nutrition into overall care.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Track client progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes.
  • Education & Research: Stay current with nutritional science, create educational materials, and speak to groups.
  • Food Service Management (in some settings): Oversee kitchen operations, ensure food safety, and manage meal service.
