Clinical Nurse Informaticist

Clinical nurse leader for a program or area of nursing practice. Utilizes specialized knowledge and skills within major areas of focus, such as patient / family, nurses and nursing practice, and the organization / system. Typically partners with the nurse manager in leading the nursing clinical practice area. This is the journey level for an advanced practice clinical nurse specialist. UCSF Health Informatics provides clinical and informatics leadership to achieve the strategic priorities of UCSF Health, as enabled by technology. Health Informatics is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and technology professionals that partners with clinical, business, and technology leaders throughout the organization, using information technology to improve the quality, safety, and value of care, and the patient and provider experience, for UCSF and its partner organizations and the patient and provider experience, for UCSF and its partner organizations.
