Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Clinical Preceptor at the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

• reviewing clinical objectives and expected outcomes of clinical experience
• reviewing hospital policies and protocols
• planning student learning needs and assignments in collaboration with the supervisor
• demonstrating knowledge, comprehension, and compliance of the community settings, as well as ability to enforce them
• demonstrating a sincere desire to continually improve and upgrade the skills and knowledge of the students through pre and post conferences
• assessing the skills and competency of students through direct observation
• participating in programme planning and evaluation activities related to the clinical aspects
• participating in the ongoing development of competencies, capabilities, technology and the resources needed to achieve high standards of efficiency and effectiveness
• encouraging a positive environment and experience for co-workers, students and clients.

• at least a BScN degree, with a minimum of two years clinical experience
• a valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
• clinical competence as a professional nurse and an effective role model
• sound conceptual knowledge of nursing and ability to integrate theory into practice.
