The Clinical Procurement Specialist supports all US Clinical supply needs by managing the tactical procurement of goods and services by implementing procurement strategies. Drives the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements by effective management of supplier base.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Clinical Procurement Specialist duties includes quoting, ordering, and collaborating with Project Management to protect profitability and customer service levels.
  • Quotes new and repeat components per specified project scope.
  • Maintains records of vendor performance, cost, and manages vendor scorecard program.
  • Manages PCI owned production components, tooling, and shipping materials.
  • Verify pricing to quote and communicate price variance with Project Management to ensure accurate billing.
  • Work with receiving and QC departments to ensure timely receipt and release of materials.
  • Attend Customer Project Team meetings as needed.
  • Attend daily Clinical Production Meeting.
  • Inform and update involved parties of potential and existing supply issues.
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • College Level Mathematical Skills
  • Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs. Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skillset
  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or 1-3 years related experience.
  • High level customer service skills
Preferred:
  • Experience with JD Edwards enterprise management system
  • Procurement experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires.
  • Ability to work independently and/or part of a team.
  • Ability to display excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to display a willingness to make decisions.
The base salary hiring range for this position is ($46,080- $51,840) plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
