Clinker Manufacturing Manager

A Clinker Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire clinker production process, ensuring high product quality, efficient resource utilization, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. Key duties include managing personnel, maintaining equipment and technology, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing process improvements, controlling costs, and coordinating with other departments to achieve production targets.

1. Health, Safety and Environment

• Comply with HSE Rules and Regulations as per H&S Standards;
• Zero personal Involvement in Accidents;
• Set Personal Example with regards to group Safety policy & safety Standards Implementations;
• Create Safety Awareness by promoting and attending safety meetings;
• Be visible in the field and interact with employees, Subcontractors, visitors in safety Topics;
• Achieving of the Assigned HSE targets on VPC, Bog, etc.
• Ensure your team HSE targets are monitored and achieved;
• Engaging with his/her team members on Safety Topics;
• Ensure well maintained housekeeping in respective areas.

2. Roles and Responsibilities

• Define, guide and support both performance and development actions for respective employees within own scope of responsibility. In collaboration with HR and as per Business and Individual needs;
• Regularly review organizational capabilities and efficiency within own scope of responsibility;
• Lead, motivate, develop, and coach direct reports and other team members;
• Lead by example to the team in promoting diversity inclusion and equal opportunities culture.

3. Internal Control

• Ensure Internal Control guidelines are followed, suggest improvements and test the processes and controls within own area of responsibility.

4. Competition and Law Compliance

• Act as role model for all Company regulations, including but not limited to Code of Business Conduct, Anti Bribery and Corruption, Conflict of Interest etc.

5. Role Specific

• Organize and manage the burning process resources;
• Estimate the time and resources available, priority and urgency of required clinker volume. Monthly stock count;
• Coordinate the different stages of kiln operation to provide clinker volume at the right time, produce it at optimal cost according to Holcim standards;
• Ensure functioning of equipment according to the sales plan with the required level of quality, quantity, cost, safety and environment, managing unforeseen events in the process;
• Contribute to maintaining equipment in good working condition by complying with the instructions through regular monitoring and updating to the Maintenance department;
• Ensure equipment condition and performance indicators comply with standards, and contribute to continuous improvement as per planned KPIs;
• Assist in preparing clinker production and kiln operation plans;
• Administrate and validate all measures that are accountable for down time, productivity and stock through discussion and reports;
• Ensure execution of refractory, stock level, installation and plan the annual stoppage;
• Oversee smooth operation by discussing and approving daily activities and shift schedules;
• Review and analyze all clinker operation parameters and reports to ensure optimum equipment utilization and adherence to quality standards and budget compliance with plan.

Education

Minimum bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering

Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in the same function
