    • Work closely with development teams to optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and security.
  • Cloud Operations & Reliability
    • Manage cloud environments (primarily AWS) for high availability, scalability, and security.

    • Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Security, Compliance & Cost Optimization
    • Apply security best practices (IAM roles, encryption, network segmentation) across all cloud resources.
    • Ensure compliance with Department of Defense security regulations.
    • Monitor and optimize resource utilization and cloud spend using AWS native tools and automation.
  • Collaboration & Documentation
    • Work cross-functionally with DevOps, development, and security teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.
    • Maintain clear, version-controlled documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational processes.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, IAM, EFS, RDS, S3, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Terraform and Git-based workflows (branching, merge requests, version control best practices).
  • Strong background in GitLab CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
  • Security+ Certification
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and IAM principles.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and supporting production cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Associate, or SysOps Administrator).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
