CMM Calibration Field Service Technician

A CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator is responsible for measuring and inspecting precision parts using a CMM to ensure they meet engineering drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CMM machines to inspect mechanical parts and components
• Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications
• Set up parts and fixtures on the CMM
• Run inspection programs and record measurement results
• Identify defects or deviations and report them to quality or production teams
• Maintain inspection records and reports
• Perform basic machine calibration and routine maintenance
• Follow safety and quality procedures at all times

Skills & Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of CMM operation and metrology
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T symbols
• Experience with CMM software (such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar)
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Diploma / ITI / Technical certification (preferred, depends on company)

Experience

• Fresher or 1–3 years of experience (varies by employer)

Work Environment

• Manufacturing or quality inspection department
• May involve standing for long periods and handling precision components

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
