CNC CAD Designer

Job Summary:
The CNC CAD Designer is responsible for creating precise computer-aided designs (CAD) and preparing technical drawings for CNC machining. The role involves translating engineering concepts into detailed manufacturing plans, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to specifications. The CNC CAD Designer works closely with engineers, production teams, and quality control to support the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify CAD models and technical drawings for CNC machining using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to understand design requirements and manufacturing constraints.
• Generate CNC programs or collaborate with CAM programmers to produce accurate tool paths and machining instructions.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, quality requirements, and company specifications.
• Review and optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and material utilization.
• Assist in troubleshooting design or production issues and provide solutions.
• Maintain proper documentation of designs, revisions, and CNC programs.
• Keep up-to-date with CAD/CAM technologies and CNC machining trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, , or equivalent).
• Understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Strong technical drawing and blueprint reading skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in designs.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with CAM software or CNC programming is a plus.
