Job Summary:

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to cut, shape, and fabricate materials (wood, MDF, acrylic, metal, etc.) for exhibition stands, event structures, and props. The role ensures precision, efficiency, and high-quality output according to design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machines (routers, laser cutters, milling machines, etc.) to produce components for exhibition stands and event setups.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD designs, and specifications for accurate machining.
  • Set up machines, select tools, and program CNC operations according to project requirements.
  • Monitor machine operations, adjust settings, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Inspect finished components for accuracy, quality, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Collaborate with carpenters, installers, and the production team to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain CNC machines, tools, and equipment in proper working condition.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and adherence to safety standards.
  • Report any defects, errors, or material shortages to the foreman or project manager.
  • Keep the CNC workspace clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator or CNC Technician.
  • Knowledge of CNC machinery, tools, and operations (router, laser, milling, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
  • Attention to detail and high precision in work.
  • Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance skills.
  • Understanding of safety protocols in CNC operations.
