Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machine Operator with a strong background in joinery or woodworking production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC routers, nesting machines, and other automated woodworking equipment to produce high-quality joinery components according to technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machinery (routers, nesting machines, etc.) for joinery and wood-based panel production.
• Interpret technical drawings, CAD/CAM files, and cutting lists to ensure accurate machining.
• Perform machine calibration, tool changes, and material setup.
• Monitor machining processes to maintain precision, quality, and production efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine or program issues as they arise.
• Work closely with designers, cabinetmakers, and other production staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Maintain accurate records of production, materials, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards within the workshop.

Requirements:

• Candidate should have proven experience operating CNC machinery in a joinery or woodworking environment.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking materials such as MDF, plywood, veneers, and solid timber.
• Proficiency in CNC programming software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
• Solid understanding of machining tolerances, feed speeds, and tooling.
• Attention to detail, precision, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in custom joinery, cabinetry, or furniture manufacturing.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Certification or vocational training in CNC machining or woodworking is a plus.
