Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist and become a vital part of producing precision-engineered components for a variety of industries.
In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC machines to create high-quality tooling used in and on our production equipment.
Our facility runs 3 shifts, 5 days / week. This opportunity is open to different shift options.
Responsibilities
- Setup, prep, and operate CNC milling machine (and/or Wire EDM machine) to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, wire burning, including setting up and calibrating equipment, etc.
- Operate various tool room equipment such as grinders, lathe, saws, wire EDM machine, drill press, etc.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce tooling used in plastic extrusion production.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment when necessary for assembly or finishing tasks.
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards by inspecting with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC and Tool Room equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the work area, tool shop, and ensuring the machine is cleaned after each use or at the end of the day/week, including performing routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages

Experience
- Proven experience operating machinery such as CNC milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, and preferably with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Strong background in CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading for complex mechanical components.
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or CAD software for part design review and modifications. Being able to navigate 2D and 3D models is preferred, but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of plastic extrusion processes is advantageous but not required.
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during machining operations.

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
