Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Program CNC lathes and milling machines using CNC programming languages such as G-code and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create precise parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications
- Set up CNC equipment, including loading tooling, calibrating machines, and verifying machine parameters for optimal performance
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and technical manuals to ensure accurate machining processes
- Operate precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to inspect parts for dimensional accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling wear, or machine calibration
- Utilize SolidWorks and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for part design review and modifications when necessary
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other manufacturing tools while maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code; experience with CAM programming is essential
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings for precise manufacturing
- Experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and welding techniques is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling setup, calibration procedures, and machining operations
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for quality control
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, and speeds in machining tasks
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment while adhering to safety standards
Join us as a CNC Machinist if you’re passionate about precision manufacturing! Bring your technical expertise in CNC programming, mechanical knowledge, and attention to detail to help us produce high-quality components that meet rigorous standards. We value proactive problem-solvers who thrive on continuous improvement and are eager to contribute their skills in a collaborative setting.
