Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy hands-on problem solving, and are passionate about manufacturing precision, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Duties

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality components.
  • Program CNC equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure parts meet design requirements.
  • Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify dimensions.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, tooling, and welding equipment as needed for machine setup or minor repairs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, inspection results, and machine logs following lean manufacturing principles.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAM software for efficient machine setup and operation.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and applying GD&T standards to ensure part accuracy.
  • Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and welding techniques.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices to promote continuous improvement.
  • Valid certification or experience in blueprint reading, machining operations, or related fields preferred.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods; capable of lifting heavy materials with forklift certification a plus. Join our team to craft precision parts that power innovative products! We value energetic professionals who are committed to quality craftsmanship and continuous learning in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
