Shift: 2nd | Compensation: $20-$28/hr | Status: Full-Time

Location: Knightstown, IN

Role Summary:

We are collaborating with a fabrication manufacturer to fill a key position on their production team.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Possess three to five years of hands-on machinery experience.
• Completion of a High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Preference given to candidates with vocational or trade school backgrounds.
• Maintain a valid forklift certification and demonstrate the ability to interpret technical blueprints.
• Demonstrate proficiency with various drills, tapes, and tooling.
• Show competency in executing pre-programmed manufacturing tasks.
• Operate forklifts safely to support warehouse logistics.
• Utilize precision measuring tools like tape measures and calipers effectively.
• Apply technical knowledge to load necessary tooling and programs into production machinery.

Core Duties:

• Ensure the safe and efficient daily startup and shutdown of all machining equipment.
• Utilize measuring instruments like tape measures and calipers to verify part dimensions.
• Operate essential shop tools including mag drills, overhead cranes, grinders, sanders, and tap arms.
• Maintain high production standards to help eliminate waste and scrap parts.
• Document production activities by maintaining precise, current logs.
• Manage electronic logging systems, storage procedures, job tags, and work orders.
• Analyze and interpret complex technical prints for production needs.
• Execute programmed jobs, perform first-article inspections, and complete machine setups to ensure consistent quality output.
