Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis equipment) to produce precision parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Perform offsets, tool changes, and adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary corrections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and team members to improve processes and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of CNC machining experience (mills and/or lathes).
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding GD&T.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
  • Ability to set up machines independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Basic understanding of CNC programming (G/M code adjustments a plus).
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with multi-axis machining.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
  • Lean manufacturing or process improvement experience.
