CNC Operator

Job Summary

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and monitoring CNC machines to produce parts and products according to specifications, drawings, and quality standards. The role ensures efficient production, accuracy, and safe machine operation.

Job Description:

-Led the setup of CNC Vertical machining centers, achieving a 20% reduction in setup time using innovative fixture designs.

-Implemented G and M code modifications at the control, enhancing program precision and reducing cycle time by 15%.

-Selected and optimized tool holders and cutters, resulting in a 10% increase in machining efficiency and reduced tool wear.

-Independently executed machining tasks with tolerances less than +/-.001", ensuring high-quality outputs and meeting project deadlines consistently.

-Utilized vernier calipers and micrometers to maintain dimensional accuracy, achieving a 98% first-pass yield on projects.

-Trained new team members on safety protocols, reducing workplace incidents by 30% over six months.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or technical certification in CNC machining or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a CNC Operator.
• Experience with CNC controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain – as applicable).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring tools.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming is an advantage.
