CNC Operator (Joinery)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program CNC machines (routers) to cut, shape, and finish wood-based materials for joinery and furniture projects.
• Create detailed joinery drafts and CNC machine programs using PowerShape, ArtCam, and other relevant software.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precision in the production of furniture components.
• Set up and adjust CNC machines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
• Conduct regular machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure machines are running optimally.
• Ensure all production work complies with quality standards and project deadlines.
• Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure that all joinery and furniture requirements are met.
• Perform post-production inspections to verify that finished products match specifications.
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator, specifically in joinery or furniture production.
• Strong proficiency in joinery drafting and CNC programming using software such as PowerShape and ArtCam.
• Solid knowledge of CNC machine operations, including routers, saws, and other related machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for furniture and joinery projects.
• Experience with material handling (solid wood, MDF, plywood, etc.) and joinery techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while meeting production deadlines.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the joinery and furniture industry is a must.
