Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and program CNC machines (routers) to cut, shape, and finish wood-based materials for joinery and furniture projects.
- Create detailed joinery drafts and CNC machine programs using PowerShape, ArtCam, and other relevant software.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precision in the production of furniture components.
- Set up and adjust CNC machines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
- Conduct regular machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure machines are running optimally.
- Ensure all production work complies with quality standards and project deadlines.
- Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure that all joinery and furniture requirements are met.
- Perform post-production inspections to verify that finished products match specifications.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator, specifically in joinery or furniture production.
- Strong proficiency in joinery drafting and CNC programming using software such as PowerShape and ArtCam.
- Solid knowledge of CNC machine operations, including routers, saws, and other related machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for furniture and joinery projects.
- Experience with material handling (solid wood, MDF, plywood, etc.) and joinery techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while meeting production deadlines.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the joinery and furniture industry is a must.
