JOINERY FOREMAN:

Key Responsibilities

• Project Supervision & Coordination
• Oversee joinery works to ensure alignment with design specifications and timelines.
• Allocate tasks to carpenters and laborers, managing daily workflow efficiently.
• Monitor progress and resolve on-site challenges.
• Quality Control
• Inspect completed woodwork for precision, finish, and durability.
• Ensure proper fitting, alignment, and finishing of joinery elements.
• Identify defects and ensure timely corrections.
• Material & Equipment Management
• Coordinate material requirements and ensure timely availability.
• Supervise the use of tools and machinery, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Minimize waste and promote cost-effective usage of resources.
• Safety & Compliance
• Conduct safety briefings and enforce site safety protocols.
• Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
• Communication & Reporting
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other site teams.
• Maintain daily reports on progress, issues, and material needs.
• Keep accurate records and documentation of work performed.

Typical Requirements

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in joinery or carpentry, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong technical knowledge of woodworking, finishing, and fit-out processes.
• Familiarity with joinery tools, machinery, and safety standards.
• Good communication and leadership skills to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop plans.
