CNC progammer

About the Role

We are a UAE-based manufacturing company specialized in high-precision marine and composite molds.
We’re looking for an experienced 5-axis CNC programmer/operator with PowerMill expertise and hands-on experience machining large-scale models or molds (e.g., boats, yacht parts, automotive, aerospace tooling, or similar).

You’ll be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating a large-format 5-axis gantry milling center, ensuring dimensional accuracy and high-quality surface finish on large components.

Key Responsibilities

• Create complex 5-axis toolpaths in Autodesk PowerMill for large-scale components.
• Program and operate 5-axis gantry milling machines (bed lengths of 3–10+ meters).
• Interpret 3D CAD models, drawings, and surface data to generate efficient machining strategies.
• Optimize feeds, speeds, and tool selection for large material removal and fine finishing.
• Perform machine setup, tool calibration, and probing cycles.
• Inspect machined parts using 3D measurement tools and ensure tolerance and surface finish meet specifications.
• Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine health for consistent production quality.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to improve machining efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in 5-axis CNC machining (preferably on gantry or bridge-type mills).
• Strong proficiency with Autodesk PowerMill for toolpath generation.
• Experience machining large molds, plugs, or composite patterns (boats, wind blades, automotive, or aerospace tooling).
• Strong understanding of CAM strategies for complex surfaces (scallop, raster, pencil, 3D area clearance, etc.).
• Able to handle machine setup, tool change, and offsets independently.
• Knowledge of G-code verification, collision avoidance, and tool-length management.
• Good understanding of materials like PU foam, MDF, aluminum, and epoxy tooling boards.
• Attention to detail and strong communication in English.
