CNC Programmer – Furniture Manufacturing
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer with a strong background in furniture manufacturing and carpentry. The role involves programming, optimizing, and supporting CNC machining operations for classic and modern furniture production. The ideal candidate will work closely with CNC operators, designers, and quality teams to ensure precision, efficiency, and consistent production quality across solid wood and panel-based materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and optimize CNC machining programs for furniture components and assemblies.
- Operate and support CNC machines such as Flexicam, Greda Sprinter, and Mithika.
- Prepare and manage CNC files using DDX, DXF, Aspire (Vectric) and basic Pytha software.
- Convert 2D and 3D technical drawings into accurate CNC programs and nesting files.
- Provide technical guidance, supervision, and training to CNC machine operators, especially during new product launches.
- Apply practical carpentry and joinery knowledge including dowels, dado joints, mortise & tenon, cam fittings, and other furniture connections.
- Troubleshoot programming, machining, or production issues to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
- Coordinate with design, production, and quality control teams to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to specifications.
- Ensure CNC processes follow safety standards, production timelines, and quality benchmarks.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a furniture or woodworking environment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of carpentry, furniture assembly, and wood-based materials.
- Proven experience with Flexicam, Greda Sprinter, and Mithika CNC machines.
- Proficiency in DDX, DXF, Aspire (Vectric), and basic use of Pytha.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and 3D models.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Leadership capability to guide, supervise, and train CNC operators.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines.
- Familiarity with nesting software and CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
- Experience in high-quality furniture production environments (custom, classic, or modern furniture).
