What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that promotes literacy, math, and physical education.
  • Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports childhood development and encourages positive behavior management.
  • Provide individualized support through early intervention strategies for children with special needs.
  • Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences.
  • Foster strong communication with parents and guardians to ensure a supportive home-school connection.
  • Monitor student progress through standardized testing and assessments, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom that adheres to childcare regulations and promotes child welfare.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Experience

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating effective classroom management skills.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus.
  • Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and tutoring across various subjects including literacy and math.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience with behavior management techniques and understanding of childhood development principles.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention strategies is highly desirable.
  • The ability to control a classroom.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $50,652.00 per year
