Reporting to Coating and Insulation Manager / Site Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform Inspection activities in accordance with requirement of the relevant Inspection & Test Plan
- Monitoring the work and co-ordinate all the inspection activities with Client Inspector & ITP
- Maintain the Quality of Blasting & Painting of Steel Structure, Pipe Spools, E&I Items
- Inspection of all materials using for Blasting, Painting and related works as per Inspection check list and also reviewing the Manufacturer's Technical & Safety Data Sheets (Verification of materials documentation & visual receiving inspection).
- Inspection of all Coating works as per Project Standards / Specification with Client Representatives.
- Conducting Qualification test for Abrasive Blasters, Paint applicators and also for Crew Supervisors.
- Coordinate with client and carry out the joined site inspection.
- Checking and Monitoring Relative Humidity, Dew Point, Air temperature and Steel temperature (Ambient Conditions), WFT and DFT.
- Attend project progress review meetings and contribute towards QA/QC & painting/coating related problem solving and dealing with queries.
- Conducting Adhesion test, Curing test, Contamination test, Holiday tests in hull, Tanks and also critical areas with Client Representatives.
- Reviewing all repair procedures and make sure that factors promoting corrosion under insulation are being eliminated.
- Evaluation of Daily Coating Reports and maintaining all quality records for future reference.
- Final Inspection and Documentation.
Minimum Qualification:
- Education: Engineering bachelor's degree or diploma
- Can communicate well in English
- Relevant Technical experience
- Min 5 years’ experience as a QC Inspector - Painting
- Certification: NACE level 2 or equivalent
- Must have a minimum 2 years in FBE field joint coating inspection
