CODA Outreach Advocate - Vermillion & Parke Counties

Under the general direction of the Community Education Specialist, the Outreach Advocate provides case management and legal advocacy to individuals needing assistance with domestic violence and sexual assault issues in Vermillion and Parke counties. This position works out of the Vermillion County Courthouse at times and has a strong relationship with the Prosecutor's Office. This position must be able to build and maintain working relationships with many types of community organizations. The Outreach Advocate meets with clients and helps refer to services, assists with filling out applications for programs, provides legal advocacy, runs support groups and more. Works with agency staff and community resources to empower program participants in their independence and self- sufficiency. This position also provides education on topics related to domestic violence and sexual assault to area professionals and the general public. Performs other related duties as required. Travel is required to serve survivors. Reliable personal transportation and car insurance required.

Position is typically Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm. Must have availability to assist clients in cases of emergency during off hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
