Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the People & Culture Department in Dubai, the Colleague Cafeteria Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operation, cleanliness, and presentation of the colleague cafeteria, ensuring a smooth service flow, well-maintained facilities, and a pleasant dining experience for all colleagues. Colleague Cafeteria Manager reports to the Director of People & Culture.

As a Colleague Cafeteria Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Oversee the overall operation and presentation of the colleague cafeteria, ensuring a clean, well-organized, and welcoming environment at all times.

  • Manage the daily cafeteria setup, including seating arrangements, buffet layout, and smooth colleague traffic flow during meal periods.

  • Coordinate with the Colleague Cafeteria Sous Chef and Stewarding teams to ensure timely food replenishment and efficient service delivery.

  • Supervise the upkeep and refilling of reusable items such as cups, cutlery, condiments, coffee machines, beans, and water dispensers.

  • Plan and execute cafeteria-related setups for special colleague events, themed days, and celebrations in collaboration with HR and Culinary teams.

  • Monitor hygiene, safety, and equipment maintenance standards, ensuring compliance with company and local regulations.

As a Colleague Cafeteria Manager, we expect from you:

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 2 3 years of experience managing or supervising a colleague cafeteria within a hotel or large hospitality environment.

  • Strong understanding of cafeteria operations, colleague traffic flow, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.

  • Familiarity with HACCP guidelines, food safety, and coordination with culinary and stewarding teams.

  • Skilled in inventory control and upkeep of reusable items such as cups, cutlery, and coffee machines.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with a proactive, service-oriented approach.
