Responsibilities

• Contact delinquent account holders via phone, email, or written correspondence to discuss overdue payments and negotiate repayment plans.
• Analyze accounts receivable data to identify delinquent accounts and prioritize collection efforts.
• Apply sound knowledge of medical terminology, revenue cycle management, and financial concepts to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate account analysis.
• Utilize accounting software and financial software systems to document collection activities, update account statuses, and generate reports.
• Conduct account analysis to determine the appropriate course of action for each case, including escalation or settlement negotiations.
• Maintain professional phone etiquette and customer service standards during all interactions, ensuring a positive experience for clients while achieving collection goals.

Experience

• Proven experience in medical collections, accounts payable, or accounts receivable roles within financial services industries.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial software tools used for account reconciliation and account analysis.
• Excellent negotiation skills combined with effective phone etiquette and customer service abilities.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
