Job Purpose:
To deliver Karachi Board–approved Commerce curriculum effectively, ensuring that students gain knowledge and skills in Accounting, Business, Banking, and Economics, while preparing them for board examinations and future academic/professional pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Curriculum Delivery
- Teach Commerce subjects in accordance with the Karachi Higher Secondary Board syllabus.
- Cover subjects such as:
- Principles of Accounting
- Business Mathematics
- Principles of Economics & Geography
- Banking & Finance
- Principles of Commerce
- Business Studies
- Prepare structured lesson plans aligned with Karachi Board objectives and exam requirements.
- Simplify complex topics and provide practical examples from the business world.
Student Assessment & Exam Preparation
- Conduct class tests, assignments, and mock exams based on Karachi Board paper patterns.
- Guide students on board exam writing techniques, time management, and key focus areas.
- Prepare students for both objective (MCQs) and subjective parts of the exam.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
Classroom & Student Support
- Maintain discipline and a professional learning environment.
- Provide additional support and remedial classes to weaker students.
- Encourage students to develop analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Co-Curricular & Career Guidance
- Organize commerce-related activities such as debates, business quizzes, and mock trade fairs.
- Mentor students on career paths in commerce, accounting, economics, and business administration.
- Encourage participation in inter-school commerce competitions and Karachi Board events.
Professional Development & Collaboration
- Participate in teacher training, workshops, and curriculum review sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues for standardization of lesson plans, teaching methods, and exam preparation strategies.
- Stay updated with Karachi Board notifications, syllabus changes, and marking schemes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum Qualification: B.Com or BBA.
- Preferred Qualification: M.Com or MBA.
- In-depth knowledge of Karachi Board curriculum for Commerce (Intermediate levels).
- Strong expertise in Accounting, Economics, and Business Studies.
- Effective teaching, classroom management, and student engagement skills.
- Strong communication skills (Urdu & English, Sindhi is a plus).
- Ability to integrate case studies, real-world business practices, and modern teaching tools.
Experience:
- At least 2–3 years of teaching experience at the secondary/higher secondary level.
- Familiarity with Karachi Board exam system, paper setting, checking, and marking scheme is highly desirable.
