About the role:

We are looking for a Commercial Auditor (Embellishments) to oversee and manage embellishment-related processes such as printing, embroidery, patchwork, heat transfer, and other decorative applications. The role involves working closely with external vendors, ensuring accurate costing, timely execution, quality adherence, and proper documentation against purchase orders.

This person will serve as the primary link between internal production teams and external embellishment vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with external vendors for printing, embroidery, and other embellishment processes.
  • Verify cost sheets, rates, and quotations to ensure commercial accuracy and cost optimization.
  • Conduct vendor audits to ensure compliance with quality, timeline, and commercial agreements.
  • Review samples, swatches, and strike-offs before bulk approval.
  • Maintain and verify material consumption reports to prevent wastage and cost leakage.
  • Track work orders, follow up on vendor production status, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Check invoices and vendor bills for accuracy against agreed rates and work done.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for POs, GRNs, delivery challans, and job cards.
  • Collaborate with design, sourcing, purchase, and production teams for seamless workflow.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
  • Prepare daily/weekly summary reports on embellishment orders in progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Textile, Supply Chain, Business, or relevant field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in printing, embroidery, or embellishment commercial operations (apparel/textile industry preferred).
  • Strong understanding of fabric types, embellishment techniques, thread/yarn types, stitch counts, printing methods, and machine capabilities.
  • Good knowledge of vendor costing structures and standard market pricing.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Strong ability in record-keeping, documentation, and commercial accuracy.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (reports, vendor costing, audits).

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in cut-to-pack apparel manufacturing setups.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems for purchase and production tracking.
  • Previous experience auditing embellishment suppliers.
