Commercial Civil Engineer -Construction industry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Billing and Commercial Civil Engineer to join our construction team in the UAE. The ideal candidate must have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in the UAE construction industry, with a strong understanding of billing procedures, commercial operations, contract administration, and cost management.

Note: Freshers and candidates without UAE construction industry experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, verify, and manage project billing (progress billing, final accounts, variations, and claims).
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of invoices to clients and follow up on payments.
• Coordinate with project managers, QS, finance, and procurement teams for commercial tracking.
• Analyze contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and ensure compliance.
• Monitor project costs, cash flows, and budget controls.
• Prepare cost-value reconciliations (CVRs) and monthly commercial reports.
• Handle subcontractor payments, billing validations, and reconciliation.
• Manage contractual correspondences, commercial documentation, and client negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws, VAT regulations, and standard construction practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of UAE experience in a similar role within the construction industry (Mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, local construction laws, and billing standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), and billing software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CIVIL ENGINEER.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
