Commercial Credit Analyst

First Federal Savings Bank has a great opportunity for a Commercial Credit Analyst in Huntington, IN.

The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating credit and financial information for credit or loan applications for new or existing clients.

This position will report to the VP, Commercial Credit Manager. Standard hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs the initial and ongoing financial analysis/spreading of financial information to determine if credit requests satisfy FFSB policy and procedure guidelines.
• Produces borrower loan reports (BLR’s) utilized to underwrite and approve/decline loan requests.
• Tracks and monitors financial statement exceptions/ticklers.
• Builds electronic files.
• Files financial statements (electronically).
• Produces monthly/quarterly reports utilized by management.
• Works with loan officers to appropriately structure loans.
• Evaluates collateral including the review of real estate appraisals, machinery and equipment appraisals, and monthly borrowing base certificates etc.
• Orders and processes real estate appraisals/evaluations, environmental due diligence, and equipment appraisals.
• Orders and processes credit reports.
• Completes customer credit references.
• Orders real estate inspections.
• Completes various reports for portfolio management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree and/or prior mortgage/commercial lending or other related lending experience preferred.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Flexibility.
• Basic understanding of corporate accounting and ability to read and interpret financial statements (e.g. Internal, tax returns, accountant prepared).
• Ability to develop sound relationships.
• Strong listening and writing skills.
• Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft products and web-based software.
