Job Summary
IKA Logistics FZCO is seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial Director to lead and expand the company’s air freight sales and marketing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing commercial strategies, driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and leading the sales and marketing team to achieve business objectives.
The candidate must have strong experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, particularly in air freight sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing successful business opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to increase air freight sales and market share.
- Identify new business opportunities and build long-term relationships with clients, agents, and partners.
- Lead negotiations with customers and key accounts to secure profitable business.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Expand the company’s customer base across local and international markets.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Develop and oversee marketing strategies to strengthen the company’s brand presence.
- Coordinate promotional activities, campaigns, and market outreach initiatives.
- Work closely with the management team to position the company competitively within the air freight industry.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings.
Leadership & Management
- Manage and motivate the sales and marketing team to achieve business goals.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance monitoring for team members.
- Prepare sales forecasts, commercial reports, and market analysis for senior management.
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in sales and business development within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- Strong experience in air freight sales is mandatory.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong network within the logistics and freight forwarding industry is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple commercial activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
