<Duties>
- Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial litigation, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
- Review, organize, and manage large volumes of legal documents using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw
- Draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Coordinate depositions, interviews, and client meetings while maintaining detailed records of case activities
- Manage electronic filing in court systems and ensure compliance with procedural deadlines
- Support administrative functions including data entry, filing, transcription, and maintaining case files for efficiency
<Skills>
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong understanding of litigation processes in various practice areas such as securities law, family law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and UCC law
- Expertise in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis to gather pertinent case law and legal precedents
- Proficiency with legal case management software like iManage and PCLaw for document review and organization
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents, reports, and correspondence with attention to detail
- Strong proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in all legal materials produced
- Effective interviewing skills for client intake and witness interviews that facilitate case development
- Superior organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently while adhering to deadlines
- Knowledge of project management principles to coordinate tasks across teams seamlessly
- Familiarity with administrative support functions such as phone etiquette, clerical experience, filing systems, data entry, and document management systems
- Ability to perform legal research efficiently using Westlaw or LexisNexis to support litigation strategies
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude to contribute positively within a collaborative team environment
