Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Gilpin Givhan, PC, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join the firm.

Responsibilities:

The position will be involved in and be responsible for:

Varied facets of commercial property purchases and sales, financings and other commercial real estate transactions and matters, including preparing preliminary forms of purchase and sale agreements and core closing documents; managing receipts and disbursements, preparing transaction summaries compiling closing transcripts and assisting in management of other aspects of commercial real estate transactions.

Varied aspects of commercial real estate title work and other commercial real estate due diligence, including coordinating title orders, reviewing title search, surveys and related information, preparing preliminary title commitments and title insurance policies.

Preparing preliminary forms of purchase and sale agreements, leases and other commercial real estate documents.

Coordinating daily with commercial real estate attorneys to assist in managing various aspects of commercial real estate law practice.

Being a point of contact with title companies, lenders, real estate brokers, purchasers, sellers, attorneys and others involved in commercial real estate transactions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate.

Multiple years’ experience in real estate transactions, including strong competency with real estate closing information systems.

Consistently high-quality work product.

Excellent time-management and communication skills (oral and written).

Diligent; conscientious; strong attention to detail.

Self-starter; willing to take on additional responsibilities commensurate with experience.

Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Qualia.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
