Commercial Strategy Director

About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Strategy Director to lead the development and execution of strategies that drive revenue growth, market share, and long-term commercial success. This role works across sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to identify opportunities, optimize pricing, and align business initiatives with market realities.

The Commercial Strategy Director combines strategic thinking with data-driven insights to shape decision-making and influence executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the commercial strategy to drive revenue, profitability, and growth
• Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behaviors to inform strategic decisions
• Develop pricing, go-to-market, and business development strategies
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align commercial initiatives with market needs
• Build financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support business planning
• Identify growth opportunities across markets, products, and customer segments
• Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership to guide strategic decisions
• Lead cross-functional projects to optimize commercial performance
• Mentor and manage a team of commercial analysts or strategy managers

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial strategy, business development, or management consulting
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and strategic initiatives
• Strong analytical skills with experience in market analysis, pricing, and financial modeling
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in [industry-specific: e.g., technology, healthcare, consumer goods, SaaS]
• Background in strategic consulting or corporate strategy roles
• Experience in international or multi-market commercial strategies
• MBA or equivalent business qualification
