Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes inspired by Asian and fusion cuisines.
  • Ensure all ingredients are properly measured, prepped, and stored according to restaurant standards.
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and taste across all menu items.
  • Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, including mise en place, cooking, and plating.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Head Chef.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in all kitchen areas at all times.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or needs to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  • Adhere to food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
  • Contribute to menu innovation by assisting with testing new recipes and flavors.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain smooth and efficient service.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Commis I or in a similar role, preferably in Asian or fusion cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of Asian ingredients, flavors, and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Passion for culinary creativity and continuous learning.
