Job Summary
The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team in the daily preparation and service of food, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and quality standards are maintained at all times. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals passionate about food and eager to grow within a professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, mise en place, and basic cooking under supervision
- Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation guidelines as instructed by senior chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations at all times
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Assist during service to ensure smooth and timely food output
- Properly store food items and label them as per kitchen standards
- Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and prep tasks
- Minimize waste and handle ingredients responsibly
- Follow instructions, kitchen SOPs, and company policies
Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and cooking techniques

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good time management and teamwork skills
- Strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness

Qualifications & Experience
- Culinary diploma or basic kitchen training preferred (not mandatory)
- 0–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- Freshers with strong passion for cooking are welcome
