Commis Chef

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes under the guidance of senior chefs
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
  • Ensure mise en place is ready for service
  • Support the team in daily kitchen operations, including stock rotation and minimizing waste
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional kitchen culture

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen is an advantage, but not essential
  • Culinary qualification or training preferred
  • Strong passion for food and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • HACCP
