Commis Chef - Pastry

Job Summary

The Commis Chef – Pastry supports the pastry team in daily kitchen operations by assisting in the preparation, production, and presentation of desserts and baked goods. The role focuses on maintaining quality, consistency, hygiene, and food safety standards while developing pastry skills under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of desserts, pastries, breads, and baked items according to recipes and standards.
  • Support senior pastry chefs in daily mise en place and production tasks.
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and labeling in line with food safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section and equipment.
  • Follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
  • Assist with stock rotation and basic inventory control.
  • Comply with HACCP, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Pastry Chef or Sous Chef.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ﷼1,700.00 - ﷼2,000.00 per month
