Commis Chef – All Day Dining Kitchen - voco Cairo Arabella Plaza

We are looking for a Commis Chef – All Day Dining Kitchen who will support the kitchen team in preparing and presenting a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency, freshness, and quality for our all-day dining restaurant in line with IHG culinary standards.

A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:

• Assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
• Following recipes, portion controls, and kitchen standards to ensure consistency.
• Preparing mise en place and ensuring readiness for daily operations.
• Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in the kitchen and workstations.
• Supporting senior chefs in buffet setups, à la carte service, and special events.
• Ensuring food safety, proper storage, and stock rotation of ingredients.
• Handling equipment and utensils properly and safely.
• Assisting with minimizing waste and supporting cost-control initiatives.

What we need from you:

• A diploma or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a hotel kitchen or high-volume restaurant, ideally in all-day dining operations.
• Knowledge of international cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
