Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Communications Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Teams to design, implement, manage, and support enterprise-level communication and collaboration solutions. You will play a key role in the deployment, integration, and support of Teams voice, video conferencing, direct routing, and collaboration features across the organization. This role requires strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone System, SBCs, and Microsoft 365 services.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Teams environments, including chat, meetings, calling, and app integration.


  • Configure and support Teams Phone System, including Direct Routing, SBCs (Session Border Controllers), and PSTN connectivity.
  • Migrate legacy voice systems (e.g., Skype for Business, on-premise PBX) to Microsoft Teams.


  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Teams meetings, calls, and integrations.


  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce governance policies for Teams usage.


  • Monitor performance, usage, and health of the Microsoft Teams environment.


  • Work closely with Microsoft support and vendors for advanced issue resolution and platform optimization.


  • Provide user support and training for Teams features and best practices.


  • Assist in writing technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures


  • Provide user support and training for Teams features and best practices, including configuration and troubleshooting of certified Teams devices (e.g., Yealink, Polycom, Cisco phones).


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


  • 3+ years of experience managing Microsoft Teams and related Microsoft 365 technologies.


  • Proven experience with Teams Phone System, Direct Routing, and Session Border Controllers (e.g., AudioCodes, Ribbon, etc.).


  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting for Teams and Microsoft 365 automation.


  • Understanding of networking concepts relevant to real-time communications (QoS, latency, jitter, packet loss).


  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance features.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-700: Managing Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert.


  • Experience with voice/video quality monitoring tools like Call Analytics, Call Quality Dashboard (CQD), or third-party UC monitoring platforms.


  • Background in enterprise telephony or unified communications.


  • Experience with identity and access management in Microsoft 365 environments.
