Leading both internal and external communications – with a strong focus on internal – you’ll ensure all content reflects the firm’s values, purpose, and expertise. As a Communications Manager some of your responsibilities will include:

Strategic communications

  • Developing and implementing an integrated communications strategy that supports the firm’s growth ambitions, brand positioning, and reputation priorities
  • Acting as a communications advisor to leadership, providing counsel on tone, messaging, and narrative alignment
  • Ensuring all communication reflects Grant Thornton’s brand and tone of voice

Media & public relations

  • Working closely with the media agency to:
  • Developing press releases, media statements, interviews, and features that position Grant Thornton UAE as a trusted voice in the market
  • Managing media opportunities for Partners and subject matter experts, including briefings and interview preparation
  • Monitoring media coverage and share regular insights, reporting on reputation impact and share of voice
  • Supporting crisis and issue management with timely, accurate communication and strong narrative control

Internal communications

  • Leading internal communications to foster transparency, alignment, and engagement across the firm
  • Crafting leadership messages, firmwide announcements, internal campaigns, newsletters, and intranet content that strengthen culture and purpose
  • Partnering with People & Culture to drive the firm’s internal storytelling agenda – celebrating our people, our culture, our milestones.
  • Supporting and coordinating townhalls and leadership communications that reinforce culture and purpose, together with the Events Manager

Thought leadership & content

  • Collaborating with the content manager to amplify thought leadership content
  • Supporting senior leadership with speeches, talking points, and authored articles
  • Working closely with the digital and creative teams to ensure consistent messaging across owned channels – website, LinkedIn, newsletters, and internal platforms

Reputation & brand management

  • Acting as guardian of the firm’s reputation and public narrative, ensuring alignment between messaging, brand values, and market perception
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen brand equity and community trust through communications and partnerships
  • Supporting initiatives tied to the firm’s responsible business, diversity, and Emiratization agendas

Skills

Think you've got what it takes to be a Communications Manager? Like the color purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:

  • Bachelors degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate communications focus on internal communication, preferably in professional services, financial services, or consulting
  • Proven experience managing media relations, internal communications, and leadership messaging
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills - ability to articulate complex topics with clarity and credibility
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trust at senior levels
  • Strong English communication skills (both verbal and written), Arabic speaking is advantageous
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Proactive and strategic mindset with a strong sense of initiative and leadership
