Community Associate

The community associate position is a challenging, yet fun role at The Hive. The community associate is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers. Community leadership and participation are integral to a community associate’s success.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Develop community initiatives designed to create connections between members, including member introductions, overseeing events, electronic and print communications, and building walkthroughs
  • Solve member-related issues to ensure a cohesive community and manage member expectations
  • Manage leads by timely following up and sharing all relevant content with potential clients (such as sharing proposals/quotations, invoice and agreement)
  • Inform and coordinate with the city manager regarding maintenance issues
  • Meet with members to resolve issues, process member terminations and other issues
  • Oversee events to ensure there is a good balance of educational, member appreciation, and lead generating and sales-related events and to review for adequate procedural safeguards for the protection of members and company assets
  • Seek opportunities to engage members to discover and discuss members objectives, i.e. using member service request as an opportunity to learn more about member, members business and any other needs member may have.
  • Identify opportunities and act on them to connect members
  • Facilitate in the implementation of rules, guidelines and best practices for the community to optimize member experience
  • Explain The Hive’s policies and procedures to members
  • Work towards and maintain 100% building occupancy
  • Lead tours for potential leads for The Hive
  • Engage in the larger community of the market by attending events and networking with local start-ups and organizations
  • Manage and maintain relationships with relevant vendors
  • Keeping a periodic check on the competition and remain up to date and provide feedback to the management.
  • Analyses of Sales data and recommendations.
  • Contribute in company revenue by cross selling private offices and event space, along with Event management.

Hiring Criteria

  • Event planning and management experience
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a customer dealing role
  • Strong networking skills
  • Excellent reporting skills (e.g. Excel)
  • Understanding of startups nature
  • Excellent communication skills
