Community Impact Analyst

Position Summary

Clearinghouse CDFI is a national, mission-driven lender committed to financing projects that create positive social, economic, and environmental impact in low-income and under served communities.

The Impact Analyst, based preferably based in a western time zone, will help ensure we stay true to our triple bottom line – people, profit, and planet – by measuring, analyzing, and communicating the impact of our lending and investment activities across our national footprint.

About the Role

The Impact Analyst plays a central role in our impact, corporate social responsibility, and B Corp efforts. This position designs and manages impact data collection (including borrower surveys), builds and maintains Tableau dashboards, develops case studies, and supports internal and external reporting to leadership, investors, partners, and regulators. The role helps ensure we remain accountable and responsive to the communities we serve while advancing social responsibility across community impact, accountability and transparency, workforce development, and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, manage, and continuously improve impact data collection, including borrower surveys (methodology, collection, implementation, and process enhancements).

· Input, track, and analyze project/borrower metrics and other data to determine community outcomes (e.g., jobs created/retained, affordable housing units, community facilities, services in underserved communities).

· Build, maintain, and enhance interactive Tableau dashboards and reports for leadership, board members, investors, and partners, drawing from multiple data sources (e.g., CRM/nCino, Excel, other internal systems). Bring a Tableau aptitude for curating data and reporting for compliance purposes, and works within Tableau to help assess and track impact in formats easily used in internal and external reports.

· Prepare internal and external impact reports, including investor/partner surveys, quarterly and annual impact reports for management and the Board of Directors, and compliance reports to funders, partners, certifying agencies, and regulators.

· Lead or support the development of annual case studies on borrowers/projects that highlight community impact and lessons learned.

· Provide impact data, statistics, and research to support grant and capital applications (e.g., CDFI Fund Financial Assistance Awards, Capital Magnet Fund, NMTC applications, and other public and private capital opportunities).

· Assist with impact services provided to clients, partners, and internal teams, including custom analyses, impact reporting support, and other fee-based or strategic impact services as needed.

· Contribute to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and B Corp initiatives that enhance community impact, accountability and transparency, workforce development, and environmental stewardship, including benchmarking peer practices, maintaining B Corp initiatives like the B BOLD Internship Award Program, and supporting the development of the Annual Benefit Report.

· Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices to ensure consistent, high-quality impact data and to translate insights into improved programs and practices.

Qualifications Required

· Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in computer science, economics, finance, data analytics, public policy, urban planning, social sciences, or a closely related field.

· 3–5 years of hands-on professional experience using Tableau to design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports (requirement, not a plus).

· Strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills, with experience working with datasets, metrics, and key performance indicators.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and comfort working with multiple data sources and systems.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible insights for diverse audiences.

· Five plus years of experience working with impact data, program evaluation, or performance metrics, ideally in community development, CDFIs, impact investing, or social finance.

· Experience and/or strong interest in socio-economic issues affecting low-income communities and targeted populations (e.g., African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American), including on Native American reservations.

· Understanding of survey methodology, collection, and implementation.

Preferred

· Experience with grant/application writing.

· Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., nCino or similar) and basic data tools (e.g., basic SQL or other analysis platforms).
