Job Description:
The Community Mobilizer will be responsible for implementing field-level activities, including community engagement, data collection, capacity-building sessions, and stakeholder coordination. The role involves organizing trainings, facilitating meetings, and mobilizing communities to ensure effective project implementation and outreach.
Main Responsibilities:
Community Engagement:
- Establish and maintain relationships with community members, local leaders, and stakeholders.
- community involvement in project activities and ensure broad participation in initiatives.
- Raise awareness about the project goals, objectives, and benefits within the community
Data Collection & Reporting:
- Gather data on community needs, perceptions, and behaviors as per project requirements.
- Track and report on project activities and outcomes in the field.
- Document data, community feedback, and report on challenges or issues faced during implementation
Capacity-Building & Training:
- Coordinate and deliver training programs aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of community members and stakeholders.
- Support community members to develop the necessary capacities for project sustainability and growth.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs, and other relevant partners for project alignment and support.
- Organize and facilitate meetings with community groups, stakeholders, and project partners.
- Foster a cooperative environment by promoting teamwork between various project stakeholders
Project Implementation:
- Ensure that project activities are carried out as planned, on time, and within budget.
- Track the success and challenges of the project in the community and suggest improvements
- Carry out any other task assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Master preferably in Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Experience in conducting awareness sessions, trainings, and community meetings on GBV, mental health, and available support mechanisms
- Participate in professional development training as identified and approved by the Supervisor
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in psychosocial support, mental health, GBV-related projects, or community-based interventions in the public, private, or humanitarian sector
- Willingness to work in field settings and travel as required
